03 Welcome to business purpose and Clarity with patreon your host we talk about startup live insights practical tips mistakes failures and everything between do you think your business is complex do you think your business is unique do you think it's hard to understand what you're doing if you say yes to one or all of those I would say think again because if it's complex for you maybe you don't understand what you're maybe you haven't figured out because there's a saying you only understand something when you have something to add or improve it in the same way it's easy to make things complex but it's really hard to make them simple if you cannot speak about what you do or your business or put it into a context.
07 Where you can simplify it and you can talk to me like I'm five and I still get your point I think there might be something you really have to work on you need someone who can clarify those things for you sometimes it's just a lack of time reflection because you're running around and you don't really have not paused and seen things maybe you've been doing this for a few years and the world has moved on and when you're too close to something it's hard to see it obvious things that there's a thing the big picture but there's also a type who has difficulties of of grasping the big picture because they're starting from the details and then they plenty way up to the overall view to the conceptual side my message is basically to say that now your business is not that unique.
10 If it if it's complex for you if you're confused you're probably lacking you're probably lacking insights and most of all you're properly lacking the Strategic to become a unique to become the best in the world there are cases where you can stumble or amazing model which is hard to vary it's hard to copy hard to imitate and your Market position is almost Invincible at least for a while but in many occasions who need to see the big picture you need to tweak you need to do trial and error you need to adjust but you still see the map you still see the big picture you still see how things are fitting to the pickup roadmap and plan and Western module are.
15 Aiming to build it doesn't mean that you know exactly how you're going to do all those things years ahead what do you have a Compass you have a you have a view that helps you to these things those things with some of greatest importance relevance from those who are trust details or can distract you all move your focus to things which are not really contributing the most to the success of your company exceptional founders tend to focus these things with some less obvious less tangible but nevertheless as important kind of like maybe this is a bad metaphor because I haven't thought about it before but like gravity you don't see but it still affects you.
19 It's weak but it's still there it's accumulated fuel close to a huge body you will start to notice that it's having its effect on you similar way the tiny things tiny molecules tiny particles tiny things as accumulated over the years tiny decisions tiny chains in this email business model Revenue model branding they will accumulate whether they are building towards the successful business model which is hard to copy but they will pull the other direction and break apart your model and make you to adjust and polish and cut and do different things that are not in harmony with your overall model if it's not simple for you try to work to simplify it try to understand the key components.
23 If you need help with that look for the help look for those who are really good at bringing Clarity bringing simplicity will make sense Build a Better Business.
